Exon 4 of Sparc gene was replaced with MC1-neo and Pol2-neo tandem cassettes. Homozygous mutant mice exhibit cataracts, abnormal skeletal morphology and osteopenia (viable and fertile). <a href='https://brc.riken.jp/mus/pcr06313'>Genotyping protocol -PCR-</a> Sparc (secreted acidic cysteine rich glycoprotein) 遺伝子のノックアウトマウス。エクソン4をMC1-neo/Pol2-neoカセットで置換。ホモマウスは白内障、尻尾の変形、osteopeniaを呈する。繁殖は正常。SPARCは、osteonectin、BM-40としても知られるマトリセルラー蛋白である。骨における非コラーゲン性タンパク質としても最も多く存在している。細胞接着や増殖、血管新生などに影響する。種々の癌で高発現が認められている。
